UNDERSTANDING AND CAPTURING THE SOUL:
It's like going on a hunt, but it's a mutual hunt. Creating a pathway to delve into the inner world of a person, where all the facets lie that aren't always visible. Revealing what is hidden, what is in the darkness.

The human fascinates me, and I enjoy going on this soul hunt. During the process, I lose all connection to reality. I feel surrounded by demons and magical forces. I capture one image after another, and the spirit reveals itself momentarily.
It's beautiful, so beautiful that I can't put it into words, and it's impossible to photograph. What remains is an emotion that can be seen in the pictures. Most of it still remains hidden in the darkness, where it belongs. I hold my camera in my hand, a lifeless device that comes alive in that moment.
Through the camera, I feel the heartbeat of the other person. It's a strange and simultaneously fascinating feeling. We all merge together. The poetry, inner beauty, and truth, the pain, hope, and struggle - often against ourselves. The photos that are created at the end of the day are always a symbiosis. A conglomerate of many facets and a document that carries a whole world history within it - from its creation to this moment.
